John 4:1-24 • Meant to Live for So Much More

Jesus visits the Samaritan woman at the well. Just like the Samaritan, we pursue satisfaction everywhere except for the place that can truly get it– in Jesus the Messiah.

Four barriers keep us from finding new life in Christ.

1.       Brokenness (vv. 4–9)—we live in a sin-cursed and broken world

2.       Blindness (vv. 10–15)—we live in spiritual blindness

3.       Shame (vv. 17–18)—we carry the baggage of past shame and failures

4.       Misguided Worship (vv. 19–24)—we try to pursue God, but not always on God’s terms.
